Every person’s skin is unique, so each individual may require different treatment paths depending on what we are treating. As a guide, we recommend 5 treatments, fortnightly apart. More may be required depending on individual needs. For client’s with deep wrinkles, advanced photo-aging, stretch marks or acne scars it is recommended to combine a course of skin needling treatments with additional treatment modalities such as corrective peels.
For optimal results, a period of effective active treatment creams, such as Vitamin A, C and AHA’s is recommended to allow the skin’s strength to build-up (especially for thin or delicate skin areas). Consult your therapist about the recommended Pre- and Post- procedure protocol. The best prepared your skin is, the better result you will obtain.
You will notice an improvement in one treatment, with visibly glowing skin. Visible changes to the skin develop over the course of several days and weeks. Results continue to improve up to 6 months after the treatment as collagen production continues, with results taking their full effect for up to two years.
For minimum needle depths skin needling treatments are painless. Treatments over 0.5mm deep are a bit more intense but manageable.
While some areas are more sensitive than others, the speed of the reciprocating needle tip reduces discomfort while the applied serum also makes the treatment more tolerable.
